About the Teacher
Education
I graduated in 1991 from the University of Southern Mississippi with B.S. in Elementary Education. I also graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1993 with a Master's in Education in Elementary Education.
I also have my certification in special education. I'm highly qualified in this area to teach special education, K-12.
Experience
I started teaching 29 years ago. However, this is my 24th year to teach. I was a stay-at-home mom from the birth of my son until he started school. I have previously taught 4th grade for one year, kingergarten for 12 years, and 7 years at OBMS. While at OBMS, I taught Language Arts, along with Science and Social Studies. This is my 7th year to teach special education, and my 5th year here at Olive Branch High School.
Bio
I am a native of Laurel, Mississippi where I lived until college. I have lived in DeSoto County for over twenty five years. I currently live in Southaven, MS. I am active with my church, Getwell Church, and also Special Olympics, which my 23 year old son participates in. During my time away from school, I enjoy spending time with my son, family, and friends. I also love to travel, especially to the beach.
